This is not the time to get distracted by every little thing that’s out of your control.
This is not the time to stay glued to your phone, awaiting every foul move politicians make.
This is not the time to forget that you too have a life.
You too have dreams, and a body, and a mind, and a spiritual life, and babies - whether beings or creations - that require a full heart’s engagement.
This is not the time for undirected anger, but instead for anger to be channeled in powerful and transformative ways.
This is not the time for spewing hate across party lines.
This is not the time for staying stuck in the Matrix, but rather a time to figure out how you’re going to break out and stay out sustainably.
This is not the time to freeze, fear, or worry, but a time to create, to try, to learn, and to make something new of all you’ve already learned.
This is not the time to push through grief, but to feel it all, completely, fully. Trust me, you will feel lighter having let yourself cry and release those pent up emotions.
This is not the time for gaslighting yourself, but a time to exercise critical thought, self-compassion, and radical honesty with yourself. To thine own self be true.
This is not the time for conformity, but a time to reawaken the essence of your being; the essence that has perhaps lain dormant for years underneath the rubble of past heartbreak, bullying, fractured relationships, crushed dreams, abuse, grief, and so much surviving.
This is not the time to say whatever comes to mind, but to thoroughly examine what you think, what you speak, what you know, and what you want moving forward.
This is not the time to allow fear into the driver’s seat of your life.

This is not the time to put others before yourself.
This is not the time to care what others think, but a time to care how your life feels to you.
This is not the time to bury your head in the sand. Paying attention can be exhausting, but you have the freedom to choose what really matters to you. You get to choose how you will be of service to this world, what problems you will help to solve, what people you will support, and what businesses you will help prosper.
Did I say it’s not the time to conform? This is not the time to conform! Wear the bold print, say the honest thing, unfollow the crowd, full send your artistic creations, cheer for the other team, rage against the machine.
This is not the time for pity. Stop pitying yourself and others, and instead, empower yourself and others.

This is not the time to only pay attention to what’s new and current. History is a treasure trove of wisdom and life lessons. Each generation has their luminaries, and it enriches the soul to consult great works of the past.
This is not the time to invest energy debating with people you already know are resistant to seeing your point of view, or are incapable of empathy.
